WAUKESHA, WI (WTAQ) - A long police standoff in Waukesha ended peacefully Wednesday, when a 58-year-old man surrendered.

Police were called to Kelly and Fay Shaw’s house about 6:15 a.m. But when officers arrived, they could not immediately reach either person.

Officers later learned that Kelly Shaw did not report to his job – and he was arrested peacefully after the tactical situation.

Police said he had threatened to shoot officers in the past, so they took extra precautions.

Officials said it stemmed from an incident of domestic violence against Fay Shaw. She was not at the home when police got there, but officers later found her at a relative’s place where she had been staying since Tuesday night. She was not hurt.
