MARSHFIELD, WI  (WSAU)  -  Marshfield’s former Clearwaters Hotel and Convention Center will reopen by spring of 2013. The property closed back in January due to bankruptcy, and was subsequently purchased by “Marshfield Hospitality LLC.”

Steve Wykle is heading up the transition team for the property, and says, “It’s become increasingly clear how much the community really needs the rooms for lodging and also the banquet space for business meeting banquets, and so forth.”

The facility will also be fully renovated according to Wykle who says, “We’ve hired a designer, an architect, and we’ll have a team in there next week really evaluating the facility.”

The property was sold to “Marshfield Hospitality LLC” for $2.75 million at a sheriff’s auction last May.
