MADISON, WI (WSAU) Wisconsin offensive coordinator Matt Canada has reportedly been offered the same post at North Carolina State. Ex-Badgers’ assistant Dave Doeren recently became the new coach at N-C State – and Canada ran Northern Illinois’ offense for Doeren in 2011.But media reports said Canada wants to stay in Madison, and he’s happy at the U-W after joining the Badgers’ staff a year ago.

Wisconsin has lost one assistant since former coach Bret Bielema left for Arkansas 10 days ago. Badgers’ defensive coordinator Chris Ash plans to run Bielema’s defense in Fayetteville, after he coaches the Wisconsin defense in the Rose Bowl.

Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez says the remaining assistants have been considering job offers – but they’ll all be around to coach the Rose Bowl Game against Stanford on New Year’s Day in Pasadena.
