STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) -  Travelers on I-39 in the Stevens Point and Plover areas will be restricted to one lane in each direction starting Tuesday.

Kristin McHugh from the Department of Transportation says crews will be working on pavement maintenance between Highway 10 east and Highway 54 just south of Plover. McHugh says there may be some flag operators directing traffic at interchange ramps.

Motorists are advised to pay very close attention in the construction zones, and be extra cautious when exiting or merging onto I-39 at Highway HH.

The work is expected to finish late Wednesday afternoon.
