UNDATED (WSAU) - Maybe bad things really do come in threes. This time, it’s squad cars involved in traffic crashes.
Last Wednesday, a La Crosse Police Department vehicle was struck by a vehicle running a stoplight at Rose and Monitor Streets in the city limits.
Saturday afternoon, Coloma Police Chief Theodore Lewko attempted to turn around and pursue a speeding vehicle when he hydroplaned off the road into a utility pole.
On Sunday morning, Lincoln County Deputy Sheriff Peter A. Annis slid on a slushy Tomahawk area road, and rolled the marked Jeep Cherokee into a culvert. This happened on Copperlake Avenue near Loop Road. Deputy Annis received minor injuries.
The Wisconsin State Patrol investigated all three crashes.
