UNDATED (WSAU) For the second day in a row, somebody in Wisconsin won $1-million playing the lottery.
A ticket sold at The Store on Mountain Road in Wausau matched all the numbers but the Powerball last night to win the game’s second prize. That was after somebody in Milwaukee used a multiplier to win a million on Tuesday night in the Mega Millions’ game.
The Powerball prize was the third million-dollar winner in less than a month in Wisconsin. The other two came last month in West Allis and Delavan.
Also last night a Powerball player won $10,000 by matching four regular numbers plus the Powerball. That ticket was sold at Singh Express on Milwaukee’s northwest side. Just over 9,700 Wisconsin players won smaller prizes.
A ticket sold in Kansas won Powerball’s $50-million jackpot last night.
The numbers were 5, 8, 20, 23, and 30. The Powerball was 3.
The top prize goes back to $40-million for the next drawing on Saturday night. The next drawing for Mega Millions is tomorrow night, with a jackpot of $12-million.
