SUPERIOR, WI (WTAQ) - Gun dealers in northern Wisconsin report they have seen a sharp increase in sales of semi-automatic rifles.
This comes after renewed discussion in Washington about a possible federal ban on assault weapons.
A gun seller in Superior says other types of guns are selling well at the same time. Several businesses say they have sold out of assault rifles.
The deadly shooting December 14th in Connecticut has led some political leaders to renew the talk of an assault weapons ban.
