MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) Marshfield’s Job Service Center has found a new home following an agreement to relocate it from City Hall Plaza to the United Way offices in the 100 block of south Center Avenue, near the city’s municipal airport.
That’s according to Marshfield city administrator Steve Barg who says that after Wood County cut the funding for the center, the city worked with the United Way, the State of Wisconsin, and the North Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board to keep the center open.
Because of funding issues, the hours of operation will be cut back from four to three days per week. The new hours of operation will be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Following the move, Marshfield’s job center is scheduled to reopen on Monday, Jan 7th.
