WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – A Wausau bar was damaged this afternoon after a car slammed into the front of it.

The accident happened around 2 pm this afternoon at the Denmar on West Thomas Street in Wausau. Bartender Cassie Prochnow says people were sitting inside the bar this afternoon when they head a loud bang or pop, and saw some damage inside the bar. They went outside to see a silver car had struck the front of the building after skidding in the snow and slush.

Police did come and process the scene Prochnow says there's been no estimate on the damages to the building at this time.

Wausau police did not immediately return a call for comment.
