Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson have remained pretty tight-lipped about the name of their unborn child, only going so far as to tell Elle magazine it would be a ""nontraditional"" name. However, the secret may have found its way to the surface after all. A ""family friend"" of the couple recently told In Touch that the soon-to-be parents ""are going to call [their baby girl] Maxwell, Maxi for short.""

Maxwell Johnson does have a nice ring to it. So what's the significance behind the name choice?

Not only is Maxwell Eric's middle name, but it's also the maiden name of his grandmother, making it doubly special. And since the source claimed Simpson ""wanted a name with meaning,"" Maxwell certainly seems like the perfect fit.

To add even more fuel to the fire, the Fashion Star mentor has been spotted wearing an ""M"" pendant around her neck, making the name Maxwell seem even more legit.
