RHINELANDER, Wis. (WSAU) – Three people, including a mother and her son, face marijuana dealing charges.
The Oneida County sheriff’s office has referred 63-year-old Barbara Elliot of Wausau and her 40-year-old son Jeremy Williams of Portland, Oregon, to the district attorney’s office on charges related to the sale and possession of marijuana. Twenty-six-year-old Andrew Yungerman of Rhinelander has also been referred on charges.
Williams is also facing charges for growing and distributing the drug in Portland.
Police arrested the three after a Rhinelander freight company tipped investigators off to a suspicious package bound for Clacakmas, Oregon. A police canine sniffed the package and police found $106,000 inside.
Police in Portland later found another $12,000, a marijuana growing operation and 24 pounds of packaged marijuana.
