MARATHON CITY, Wis (WSAU)   -  The two men involved in last Thursday’s crash between a farm tractor and a dump truck are getting better. Larry Oertel was the driver of a dump truck, and has been discharged from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. Gary Stankowski was the tractor operator who was flown to Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He remains hospitalized, but has been upgraded to “fair” condition.

The crash happened at about 5:00 p.m. Thursday on County Highway S south of Highway 153. A crash reconstruction team is still evaluating the accident.
