MERRILL, WI (WSAU) - The Merrill woman charged Thursday with causing the death of two friends while driving intoxicated made an initial court appearance Monday.
24-year-old Ashley Baumann faces several charges of causing the deaths of Jessica Hartwig and Misty Glisch and injuring Jerrica Woller while driving drunk and crashing June 7th. Baumann’s bond was set at $5,000, with $4,500 in signature bond and $500 dollars in cash. Baumann must also stay away from the families of the victims.
Investigators say the four women were looking for an after-bar party when they left the Dugout Bar in Merrill. Data from Baumann’s car shows she was travelling nearly 98 miles per hour in the 25 zone when she crashed and rolled several times.
