MOSINEE, WI (WSAU) - The man who died early Sunday in a traffic crash west of Mosinee was from the area. 21-year-old Derek Roosa of Mosinee was killed when his car left the roadway on Sugarbush Road near the intersection of Badger Road. The car struck several trees before coming to a stop.

The crash remains under investigation by the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies say they believe excessive speed could be a factor in this crash.
