WASHINGTON, DC (WSAU) The winless Washington Wizards jumped out to a 12-0 lead Friday night, but couldn’t hold on. Milwaukee bounced back behind 22 points from Monta Ellis to win for the third time in four starts, 101-91. Washington is 0-4, joining the Detroit Pistons as the only NBA teams not to taste victory so far in the young season.
The Wizards are playing without their top two starters.
The Bucks had five in double figures including Mike Dunleavy & Larry Sanders with 13, Brandon Jennings with 12 and Irsan Ilyasova with 11. Jennings and Bradley Beal of Wizards were ejected late in the game after a scuffle.
The victory starts a string of three games in four days for the Bucks. They host Boston tonight and play at Philadelphia Monday.
