WESTON, WI (WSAU) - No injuries and no major damage. That’s the report from the Weston Power Plant, Kelly Zagrzebski from Wisconsin Public Service says emergency crews were called in Friday morning around 10:30 a.m.
Zagrzebski can only refer to this as an “incident” but is unable to say exactly what that incident was until they take a closer look.
There were reports of hearing several small explosions at the plant this morning, but we have been unable to confirm that.
Wisconsin Public Service says everything is safe now. They did shut down unit number 3 for a short time, which had no effect on local electrical service.
