MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - Milwaukee Police have arrested one of three people who allegedly broke into a detective’s home.
Police confirmed Tuesday that the 44-year-old male detective shot at one of the suspects who was about to point a gun at him. Nobody was hit, and no one was injured.
Officials said a side door was open when the off-duty detective arrived home around 6 p.m. Monday.
One suspect looked out the front door, and then moved away. A second burglar looked out a screen door with a gun in his hand – and police said the person began pointing the gun when the officer shot at him.
That suspect ran off, and both were still at large as of late Tuesday morning. The third suspect was found in the basement, and was arrested.
