WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) - Two of the men arrested in a Wausau drug raid at houses on Cherry Street and 6th Avenue earlier this month have been bound over for trial.
39-year-old Will E. Conners of Milwaukee and 44-year-old Bernard Welch of Wausau had preliminary hearings yesterday, and both will go to trial. A Marathon County special investigator testified that an informant arranged three separate purchases of crack cocaine and heroin from the suspects in late October at Welch’s residence. If convicted, Conners could get 47 years in prison and Welch 58 years in prison. Both are jailed, unable to pay a high cash bond. Pretrial conferences for both suspects will be November 26th
