DETROIT (WTAQ) - It was sloppy at times, but a strong defensive effort and a 22-yard Aaron Rodgers to Randal Cobb scoring play late in the final quarter helped the Packers slip past the Lions 24-20 at Ford Field in Detroit Sunday.

The Packers defense gave it their all, sacking Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford 5 times and intercepting him twice. One of those was by M.D. Jennings, who returned it 72 yards for a touchdown in the 3rd quarter.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers finished the game 19-of-27 for 236 yards with one TD and 2 interceptions. Cobb caught 9 passes for 74 yards.

The Packers (7-3) have won 5 straight, while the Lions (4-6) are watching their playoff hopes fade away fast.

Get a full recap of the Packers win over the Lions with Mark Daniels and Nick Vitrano on the 5th Quarter Monday at 5 p.m. exclusively on 97.5/1360 News Talk WTAQ.
