WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) A Wausau man is facing criminal charges for firing a gun into the ground while he was involved in an argument on the telephone. Apparently the shot was intended to frighten the person he was arguing with.
42-year-old Lance E. Bouyear is facing three misdemeanors: operating a firearm while intoxicated, disorderly conduct, and criminal damage to property. He appeared in Marathon County Court yesterday. He's now free on $5,000 signature bond, and will be back in court for a pre-trial conference on December 17.
No one was injured by the shot he fired.
