MADISON, WI (WSAU) Wisconsin transportation officials are suggesting reconstruction of the busiest interchange in the state should be delayed now.
The transportation secretary says the completion date for the Zoo Interchange needs to be pushed back if more money isn’t put toward the state’s roads. Under the department’s road budget request released this month seven other projects could face delays of one to two years.
Secretary Mark Gottlieb says this is a case of his department living within its means. Gottlieb says the department is not happy to be proposing the delays.
