WAUSAU, Wisc (WSAU) The man accused of causing a lock-down at Wausau West High School last month by sending threatening text messages to an ex-girlfriend has a roommate who is also in trouble with the law. The roommate - Julian Alvarez - will be in Marathon County court Wednesday.
Police say stolen firearms were found in his apartment. Alvarez is accused of holding a Weston woman against her will. He fled the area earlier this month, but turned himself in last week. Alvarez is charged with sexual assault, false imprisonment, strangulation, and battery in addition to the weapons charges.
The stolen firearms were from Statton's General Store near Tomahawk, which was broken into on October 2nd.
Roommate Marcos Garza was caught with a handgun in his backpack when he was arrested in downtown Wausau after threatening a 17-year-old girl with nude photos and videos.
