STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) – A 21-year-old Stevens Point man accused of shooting a man during a gang attack has pled not guilty to four felonies.
Tanner Tork is charged with first-degree reckless injury, aggravated battery with intent to cause great bodily harm, possession of a firearm as a convicted felony and bail jumping.
The incident began as a fight outside a home on June 4th on Frontage Lane. Several of the suspects had been exchanging threatening text messages with two others. One of the text messages included the Frontage Lane address and said “come get me”.
The five suspects, including Tork, showed up at the address and began to fight. The property owner, 60-year-old Randy Seavers, told the suspects to leave. He was surrounded and assaulted. His son, Travis tried to help him, but was shot in the leg with a .22 caliber pistol that he had brought out with him.
No trial date was set for Tork. 22-year-old Laice Firkus, 25-year-old Cody Kubowski, 27-year-old Spencer Wnuk, and 23-year-old Noah Zachman were also involved.
