Packers Look To Bounce Back

HOUSTON, TX (WSAU) The Green Bay Packers have a history of lifting themselves off the mat to play well against a quality opponent. That’s the challenge facing the 2-and-3 Pack on Sunday night, when they play at undefeated Houston.

The Texans have outscored their opponents 68-to-24 in their first two home games this season – while Green Bay has been out-scored 34-18 in the second half of their two road losses. But nose tackle B-J Raji says he’s not really worried that the Packers will fall flat against the Texans, because they tend to do well in these so-called “recovery games.” Raji says he’s more worried about the contests the Packers should win.

They were a seven-point favorite at Indianapolis last Sunday before they collapsed in the second half in their loss to the Colts. Green Bay is a four-point underdog at Houston. A victory would put the Pack at 3-and-3 – the same record they had in the Super Bowl-winning season two years ago.A loss could put them three games back in the N-F-C North.

Raji might not play after he hurt an ankle at Indy. He’ll be a game-time decision, along with tight end Jermichael Finley and receiver Greg Jennings. All three sat out practice yesterday, as did tight end D-J Williams. He tweaked a hamstring during a drill on Wednesday, and will be re-evaluated today to see if he can play against the Texans.
