MONROE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) - Wisconsin’s Fort McCoy has been a busy site for training activities.

The U.S. Army installation between Sparta and Tomah reports the number of troops training there during fiscal year 2012 has topped 122,000.

That number has exceeded 100,000 every year since 1985.

Fort McCoy in Monroe County was established 103 years ago and has been used mostly as a training center for the military.
