MADISON, WI (WSAU) Wisconsin running back Montee Ball was named Mondayas the Big Ten football player-of-the-week on offense.
The senior running back rushed for 247 yards and three touchdowns in last Saturday’s 38-to-14 Badger win at Purdue. In the process, Ball set new conference marks for career touchdowns with 72, and total points with 434. Both records were previously owned by Wisconsin’s Ron Dayne.
The win improved the Badgers to 5-and-2 overall, and 2-and-1 in the Big Ten. They’ll host Minnesota on Saturday.
