GREEN BAY WI (WSAU) The Green Bay Packers will get another look at injured receiver Greg Jennings tomorrow, and see if his groin has recovered to the point in which could return on Sunday. Jennings has missed the last two games, after he aggravated a previous groin injury on September 30th against New Orleans.
Starting nose tackle B-J Raji hoped to practice today, after working out yesterday. He missed last Sunday night’s win at Houston, after he suffered an ankle injury on October seventh at Indianapolis.
Coach Mike McCarthy has said linebacker Nick Perry and corner Sam Shields – both of whom were injured at Houston – probably won’t be ready for Sunday’s game at Saint Louis.
For the second time in three weeks, Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers is the N-F-C’s offensive player-of-the-week. Rodgers completed 24-of-37 passes for 338 yards and a team-record-tying six touchdowns in Sunday’s night victory at Houston.
He became only the third quarterback in N-F-L history to complete 60-percent of his passes in a game, while throwing for at least 330 yards with six scores and no interceptions. It was Rodgers’ seventh weekly award for his career.
He also would have had a rushing touchdown, had it not been for a holding call which nullified the score. Rodgers hurt his left calf on the play – but he said it would not stop him from playing against the Rams in Saint Louis on Sunday.
