STEVENS POINT, Wisc (WSAU) A Stevens Point woman could face jail time for running an illegal daycare center from her home. 48-year-old Pamela Novak isn't allowed to care for children because she assaulted a daycare inspector in 1995.
She's been fined twice since then for watching children without a license.
Prosecutors say the last time inspectors visited her home in July of 2011 she refused to let them in. The inspectors later found her at a nearby campground watching six children.
If convicted Novak could face up to a year in jail and a fine of $500. She's entered a 'not guilty' plea and is due in court for a pre-trial conference on November 12th.
