WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - Get ready for a trip down the rabbit hole with Wausau East's production of Alice in Wonderland.
Director Kelly Brown says she's trying to keep true to the original version of the story. "Many of the lines you'll see on stage will come from the Lewis Carroll classic." Brown says the sets and the costumes will also be close to the original illustrations of the books as well. The show is mainly aimed at younger audiences, and will be a relatively shorter piece.
Brown says she's approaching this show as a way to educate her students as well as entertain an audience. "I want to be sure students are taking the roles in all the places they can." The cast and crew including technical staff are mostly students with the directors taking back seat roles when the production is on stage.
Alice in Wonderland runs tonight and tomorrow at 7 pm with a Sunday matinee at 1. Tickets are 6 dollars at the door.
