STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) - Empty Bowls is an event in Stevens Point that annually raises money to help local hunger prevention efforts. Every year, people make special clay bowls, and people buy a bowl of soup for 11 dollars, which comes with bread, beverage and dessert. Soup is donated from several area restaurants.
The Empty Bowls event is run operated out of SPASH, or Stevens Point Area Senior High School.
Organizers are still looking for volunteers to help tomorrow from 11 until 2. They’re about 30 people short, which has never been a problem until this year.
