MARSHFIELD (WSAU) - Plans for a major reconstruction of South Chestnut Avenue in downtown Marshfield go on display tonight.
That rebuild is scheduled for 2013, and the public will have their chance to provide their input on the project at an open house. According to city engineer Tom Turchi, “We’re going to have an open house on the South Chestnut Avenue reconstruction project and show the proposed layout for that corridor, including bump-outs, parking lanes, bike lanes, and we invite the public to join us there to take a look at what we’re proposing.”
Turchi says property owners on Maple Avenue may also wish to attend, since a similar project is being planned for them in the near future.
That meeting runs tonight from 4:00 until 6:30 pm in Conference Room 108 on the first floor of Marshfield City Hall. You can see the city’s plans for the South Chestnut Avenue reconstruction project at:
