MILWAUKEE, WI (LEARFIELD-WSAU) The Milwaukee Bucks now have a four-game losing streak after falling at home to San Antonio last night, 114-to-103. The Bucks’ lead for the Number-six Eastern Conference playoff spot fell to two-and-a-half games over seventh-place Miami.
And Milwaukee remains just three-and-a-half away from falling out of playoff contention altogether, with 14 regular season contests left.
The Spurs shot 62-percent in the second quarter to lead by nine at the half. The defending N-B-A champions led by as many as 19 in the third quarter before starting the final period with an 11-point edge. The Bucks never got any closer than nine after that.
Giannis Antetokounmpo had 19 points and eight rebounds to lead the Bucks. Danny Green had 20 points and eight boards for San Antonio, which is 2-and-2 after a six-game winning streak.
Milwaukee’s loss comes a night after a one-point defeat at New Orleans, and the Bucks are now 6-and-13 on the second nights of back-to-back games. They have also dropped six straight to the Spurs. Milwaukee’s next game is Friday night at Brooklyn.
