MADISON, WI (WSAU) -  The Tomahawk man that suffered severe burns on the job in Tomahawk nearly a month ago is slowly improving.

53-year-old Mike Slesicki was burned while reigniting a boiler that was shut down for maintenence at the Packaging Corporation of America Tomahawk mill. He was flown to the Burn Center at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, where he spent weeks in “critical” condition. Hospital officials have now upgraded Slesicki to “fair” condition.

PCA spokesman Dave Blank says their investigation into the accident is continuing, and the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) will also be back to the plant to finish their investigation.
