Voters return Roggensack & Evers to office

MADISON, WI  (WSAU)  The race for State Supreme Court Justice was over early.  Patience Roggensack easily won a second term over her challenger, Marquette University law professor Edward Fallone.

Roggensack campaigned on her experience and Fallone's lack of experience.  The voters put Roggensack back on the bench  with just under 60% of the vote.

Along with the voters, Justice Roggensack had the suport of over 100 other judges, the state Republican Party, and many in the law enforcement community.

Fallone did not win, but he did carry heavily-Democratic leaning Portage County by over 400 votes.

State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Evers also won reelection Tuesday over challenger Don Pridemore with nearly 60% of the vote.

Pridemore had recently picked up some support in central Wisconsin by opposing Ever's single-vendor student information software decision that excluded Stevens Point based Skyward from continuing to serve Wisconsin schools.  He still trailed Evers in Portage County by about the same margin as other areas in the state.
