ROTHSCHILD, Wisc (WSAU) The new bio-mass power plant is on-schedule to open later this year.
It's a $250-million partnership between Domtar Paper and WE Energies. It will take the bio-products from the paper-making process at the mill next door and turn it into electricity. 40-percent of what's used there will go to power the Domtar mill; 60-percent will go to WE Energy's power supply.
Some of the wood debris will come from other location within a 50-mile radius.
The plant is scheduled to come on-line this fall.
