GRESHAM, Wis. (WSAU) - We all know texting while driving is a bad idea. Apparently texting and selling drugs isn’t a good mix either.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a 17 year old suspect and accused him of selling drugs. The Gresham teenager was at a home in Shawano last Saturday when he was given a phone number as being a possible customer. He texted the number, offering 42 pills of Tylenol with codeine, saying he wanted cigarettes and 120 dollars in exchange.
The number actually belonged to Stockbridge-Munsee Police Chief Jim Hoffman. The chief called deputies and they worked together to set up a fake drug deal when the teen suspect was arrested. The suspect has not been named.
