ANTIGO, Wis. (WSAU) - A former elementary school principal will spend 3 months in jail and 18 months on probation for his part in a drug ring.
47-year-old John Lund was sentenced today in Langlade County Court. Lund resigned from the Antigo School District as the case against him moved through the courts. He had originally been charged with seven felonies in connection with a marijuana and cocaine ring, but six of those charges had been dismissed as part of a plea deal with prosecutors.
Seven teachers and faculty members from the Merrill and antigo school districts were implicated during the investigation into the drug ring.
Lund will also have to serve 200 hours of community service. He apologized in court before his sentence was handed down.
