WESTON, Wis. (WSAU) - It's time for brews, bands and fun, all for the Alzheimer's Association.
Tonight at Dale's Weston Lanes it's the 9th Annual Rhythm and Brews with the Alzheimer's Association. Coordinator Amy Chick says they've got a great night lined up for the party. "We've got a great Wausau band, String Cheese, playing tonight." The always popular silent auction is scheduled as well, with A Taste of Wausau basket with Wausau themed items and gifts, a painting signed by Desmond Bishop of the Green Bay Packers, and a collection of artwork created by patients with Alzheimers and dementia.
Chick says the funding raised will go toward helping families in the area. "We've got outreach programs and do referrals for people who are diagnosed with Alzheimers and dementia." The group also helps families as they deal with getting treatment for family members.
The show starts tonight at 7 PM and runs to 11 PM. Tickets at the door are $35.
