MOSINEE, WI (WXPR) - The next Never Forgotten Honor Flight leaves Central Wisconsin Airport in Mosinee Monday morning with veterans going to the nation's capitol to see the war memorials.

40 World War II veterans, 57 from the Korean War and three from Vietnam from northern and central Wisconsin are on the flight today. 53 guardians will also be on the trip. Organizer Jim Campbell says the non-profit group's eleventh mission is seeing a larger number of Korean War veterans. He says with the recent news of tensions with North Korea, he says veterans will be remembering that war technically is still going on.

Campbell says they take charter buses to 7 memorials plus a tour of Washington D.C.  The group returns to Mosinee tonight. More information about Never Forgotten Honor Flight and the forms to sign up are available at their website.

WSAU’S Seth Mela is travelling with the Honor Flight, and will have more tomorrow on Wisconsin’s Morning News.
