WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) The Wausau East Lumberjacks didn’t have to look far for their new head football coach. East defensive coordinator Henry Kremnitzer will replace Kevin Grundy who retired at the end of last season.
Kremnitzer has coached football at various levels over 25 years and teaches social studies at East.
Athletic Director Greg Harvey said this in a news release:
“We could not be more excited with the addition of Henry to our head coaching staff. He is coming into our program with a plan of attack that includes the teaching of solid core values within an education-based athletic program. On top of that, he is a master football technician and highly skilled communicator. Henry is very motivated to continue the momentum in our program that was started with the 2019 season. Our student-athletes and our entire Lumberjack football family are very eager to get going under Henry’s leadership.”
The Lumberjacks will be returning to the Valley Football Association next season after a number of years as an independent.
