WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wisc (WSAU) The South Wood County Humane Society says there's a big mystery about a stray cat that arrived at their shelter this week.
They scanned the white and grey cat for a microchip - which is standard procedure. His name is Ace -- and he belongs to an owner in Arizona, more than 1,700 miles away. No one's sure how the animal got from there to here.
The humane society contacted his owner, and the animal is being flown back to Tuscon. Ace had been missing for 10-months, his owner had given up hope that he'd ever be found.
