PLOVER, Wis. (WSAU) - Multiple agencies are investigating an apparent homicide today. Waupaca County deputies were called to the Town of Harrison in extreme northwestern Waupaca County where a deceased woman was found inside a burned vehicle. That vehicle was discovered at about 11:00 a.m. in a farm field.
The victim is a 36-year-old Plover woman, who lives in an apartment building on Chestnut Drive. Her name has not yet been released.
The Plover Police, the State Crime Lab and the Department of Criminal Investigations have secured the Plover apartment building and are looking for evidence there now. The street is also closed next to the apartments. Waupaca County has secured the site of the burned out vehicle.
So far, investigators have released no other information and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information that may be helpful to investigators is encouraged to contact Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department, the Plover Police Department, or your nearest law enforcement agency.
