UNDATED (WSAU) The woman from Stratford that is charged with putting her children through medical tests to gain access to prescription drugs may be ready to enter into a plea deal.
32-year-old Susan Moore was supposed to face a jury Thursday on charges of intentional child abuse causing harm and illegally obtaining controlled substances. That trial was called off, and online court records show a new plea hearing date is set for August 15th.
Moore is accused of acquiring Diazepam prescriptions from St. Joseph’s Hospital doctors by claiming her two-year-old and her four-year-old were having seizures. Extensive tests showed both children did not have medical problems.
Marshfield police heard Moore confess that neither child had medical problems. She remains free on a $10,000 signature bond awaiting her next court appearance.
