RHINELANDER, Wis. (WSAU) - Rhinelander police are investigating a shooting incident that involved a man and his nephew. Few details were released during a brief Tuesday press conference, but authorities confirm the suspected shooter is a 23-year-old man and the victim is his 49-year-old uncle.
Names have not been released, but police say the victim is hospitalized in critical condition with a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. The alleged shooter was arrested on Highway 17. The incident happened at a Mason Street home Monday night.
More information and possible charges may be released Wednesday.
