Winter storms lead to at least two fatal crashes Sunday

RACINE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) - Winter storms over the weekend is to blame for two fatal crashes in southeast Wisconsin.

The Racine County Sheriff’s Office says one man was killed in a crash on Interstate 94, near the Town of Yorkville.

A separate crash in Milwaukee County on Interstate 43 also killed an unidentified person, according to county authorities.

In both incidents, police say the roads were covered in snow with ice underneath.

Racine County authorities say as of 3:30 p.m. Sunday, there were about 60 crashes reported.
