WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- A Marathon County man will spend the next 18 years in prison for attacking an elderly couple in 2009.
23-year-old Sean Stankowski was sentenced yesterday on charges of armed robbery, burglary, battery, recklessly endangering safety and bail jumping. Stankowski forced his way into a Weston home and robbed an elderly couple at knife point. One of the victims fought back and was struck in the assault. He then fled from the scene with his accomplice, 23-year-old Kaitlyn Lang. They were later caught and taken into custody.
After leaving prison, Stankowski will also serve 7 ½ years on extended supervision. He will not be eligible for early release programs.
