MADISON, WI (WSAU) Wisconsin football coach Gary Andersen has recruited a quarterback for this fall’s recruiting class. Tanner McEvoy gave his verbal commitment to the Badgers.

He signed with the University of South Carolina, where he redshirted for a year before transferring to Arizona Western College last year.

Scouts say the 6-6 McEvoy is both a solid passer and runner. He’s expected to have three years of eligibility when he joins the U-W for its pre-season camp in August.

McEvoy chose the Badgers over Oregon and Florida.
