MADISON, WI (WSAU) How tight is the group at the top of the Big Ten Conference basketball standings? With the right results, we could have a five-way tie for first-place after this weekend.

There’s a three-way tie right now. Michigan, Indiana and Michigan State are all 8-2, with Ohio State and Wisconsin holding 7-3 records.

The Badgers host Michigan today in an 11 a.m. tipoff.

Michigan State is at Purdue today and Indiana is in Columbus to play the Buckeyes tomorrow. Wins by Wisconsin, Purdue and Ohio State would create that five-way time more than half-way through the conference schedule. This morning’s Badger game will be televised on ESPN and heard on WSAU.
