MADISON, WI (WSAU) Wisconsin football coach Gary Andersen has reportedly nailed down his staff for his first year in Madison. The Wisconsin State Journal says Andersen will announce the hiring of Chris Beatty as the new receivers’ coach as early as today.

Beatty was fired at Illinois at the end of last season. He handled most of the play calling, and the Illini had the worst offensive numbers in the Big Ten Conference.

Beatty has also coached receivers at Vanderbilt, running backs at Illinois, and backs and slot receivers at West Virginia – where he was regarded as a strong recruiter.
