MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - About a dozen members of the Wisconsin National Guard’s 97th Agribusiness Development Team will be deployed to Afghanistan.

Governor Scott Walker, Guard leaders, family and friends will give them a big send off Thursday at a Madison ceremony.

The team will teach Afghani farmers how to farm and herd more effectively.

The 97th team will spend a few weeks training in Camp Atterbury, Indiana, before being sent overseas.
